Cincinnati, OH · Full-time · On-site · Monday to Friday, Day Shift · $27 to $36 per hour DOE

We're building AI-native factories capable of lights-out production, from CAD to finished part with minimal human input. The focus is energy and infrastructure: power generation, grid infrastructure, and compute facilities, where steel fabrication bottlenecks are limiting growth. The shop is set up, customers are on the books, and we're scaling the production team now.

This is not repetitive production welding. The robots handle the arc time. You handle the precision: fit-up, robotic cell operation, cosmetic finish, and quality you're proud to sign your name on.

What You'll Do

• Own structural builds end to end: blueprint, precision fit-up, robotic welding cell, paint-ready finish
• Stage and fit complex structural assemblies (skids, frames, e-houses) using advanced fixtures, positioners, and GD&T so robots can weld them cleanly
• Run automated welding cells: load fixtures, monitor weld cycles, adjust parameters, and keep throughput high
• Perform manual MIG repairs and invisible blends when a weld or robot path isn't right
• Serve as the first line of quality defense, catching porosity, undercut, lack of fusion, and dimensional drift before parts leave the cell
• Partner with manufacturing and automation engineers to improve fixtures, sequences, and overall flow
• Mentor junior fabricators and help build the production team as we scale

What You Bring

• 5+ years in structural steel fabrication with strong GMAW/FCAW experience to structural codes (e.g., AWS D1.1)
• Strong blueprint reading and layout skills; you've built complex assemblies and can see distortion before it happens
• Hands-on experience with robotic welding systems or automated weld cells (any major brand)
• Comfort with precision measuring tools and shop math
• Pride in grinding, blending, and finishing; cosmetics are part of the craft, not an afterthought
• Bonus: CWI or strong visual inspection background, or time in aerospace, defense, or other high-precision shops
